The Bicycle Adventure Club (BAC) is a non-profit, volunteer supported, bicycle touring club. The information that we collect is to keep in touch with our members as well as inform them of new rides. We require our members to maintain an Emergency Contact person in case they are injured on a ride.
We collect information for the following purpose(s):
• Completing or supporting an activity- like joining us on a ride, or renewing your membership
• Website and system administration- to keep a record of all our members online.
• Research, analysis, reporting- this is standard analysis of our webserver logs, and the information obtained is pseudononymous (meaning that it it not tied to a specific individual)
• Contacting our member for promotion of the site or our rides
• Preserving social history as governed by existing law or policy- we maintain a record of the rides that members have participated in as well as a record of past members.
• Other purposes. Emergency Contact information (name, address, and phone number) of a spouse, relative or friend is required for participation in rides and tours.
Who has access to the information we collect?
• Only our members, employees, and Board of Directors. Billing information is available to Wells Fargo and Authorize.net for the purposes of Credit Card billing transactions, and our eCommerce firm Image-Genesis.com for the purpose of maintaining the database and website.
Of the information we do collect, we allow our members the following access to the information:
