Ride Rating: The trip is rated a 2B! with an average of 32 miles/day and 2,631’ feet of climbing. However, the rides range from 1A to 4B. The longest is 49 miles and there is one day with 4010 ft climb. You can see each day’s mileage and ascent in the description below.
Day 1: Arrival in Loutraki – Relax & Rejuvenate
You will be transported on the morning of 4/2/2026 from Athens to Loutraki. Arrive in the vibrant coastal town of Loutraki, famous for its natural thermal springs. Meet the GCH team, set up your bike, and ease into the adventure with a rejuvenating spa treatment and massage at the famous Loutraki Thermal Spa. In the evening, enjoy a welcome drink and itinerary briefing, followed by a delicious seaside dinner, soaking in the Corinthian sunset.
Day 2: Loutraki to Epidaurus – A Ride Through History. 35miles/2345ft
Embark on an exhilarating ride from Loutraki to Epidaurus. Departing from Loutraki, you'll traverse rolling hills and scenic countryside, passing through charming villages and olive groves. The route includes some moderate climbs, rewarding you with panoramic views of the Saronic Gulf. As you approach Epidaurus, the landscape transitions to lush greenery, leading you to the coastal village of ancient Epidavros. Meals included : BF/D
Day 3: From Epidaurus loop with ancient theatre – Coastal Magic & Island Escape 26miles/2622ft
Cycle through stunning countryside, olive groves, and rolling hills, making your way to the legendary Epidaurus Theater, one of the best-preserved ancient theaters in Greece. Experience its remarkable acoustics before descending back into the seaside town of Ancient Epidaurus, where you can relax by the azure waters and indulge in fresh seafood at a charming taverna. Day 4: Epidaurus to Poros – Coastal Magic & Island Escape 31miles/2455ft
Ride along the stunning Peloponnesian coastline, passing fishing villages and breathtaking sea views, before boarding a ferry to Poros Island. Day 5: Poros Loop – Cycling Paradise 12miles/1082ft
Explore Poros by bike, a short ride today cycling past fragrant lemon groves, hidden beaches, and panoramic hilltop views. The island’s quiet roads and stunning scenery make this a relaxing yet rewarding day, with plenty of opportunities to swim in the clear blue sea before returning to town for a laid-back evening. Day 6: Poros to Ermioni – Breathtaking Coastal Ride 24miles/1634ft
Leave Poros behind and ferry back to the mainland for a spectacular coastal ride to Ermioni. This harbor town, surrounded by pine forests and tranquil bays, offers a serene atmosphere, perfect for a seaside evening with traditional Greek meze and local wine. Meals included:BF/D
Day 7: Rest Day or Island Escape to Hydra
Enjoy a rest day in Ermioni, soaking up the seafront ambiance with a leisurely breakfast and a dip in the Aegean. If you're craving more adventure, take a short ferry ride to Hydra, an island famous for its elegant stone mansions, car-free streets, and timeless beauty. Day 8: Ermioni to Nafplio –Greece’s Most Romantic City 46miles/3635ft
Cycle through vineyards, rolling hills, and ancient landscapes, arriving in Nafplio,Greece’s first capital and most romantic town. Day 9: Nafplio to Leonidio – A Sacred Good Friday Ride 49 miles/3267ft
On Good Friday, embark on a scenic ride along dramatic cliffs and lush valleys, making your way to Leonidio, a charming mountain village. As night falls, experience a traditional candlelit procession, where the entire village gathers for a moving Easter celebration. Meals included:BF/D
Day 10: Leonidio to Kosmas and back – Monastery & Easter Traditions 35miles/4010ft
A breathtaking ascent takes you deep into the Parnon Mountains, with a stop at the Monastery of Panagia Elona, dramatically built into a sheer rock face. Arrive in Kosmas, a peaceful village for lunch before returning back to Leonidio where the Easter Saturday midnight celebrations welcome you with fireworks, candlelit processions, and traditional Greek hospitality. meals included BF/L/ Traditional Midnight easter soup
Day 11: Easter Sunday in Leonidio – Feast & Optional Ride to Tsitalia

Day 12: Relaxing Day in Leonidio & Optional Ride to Tsitalia

Day 13: Departure to Athens
An early morning breakfast boarding a comfortable bus to Athens. Reflect on your unforgettable cycling journey through history, coastlines, and culture, departing with lifelong memories of Greece's stunning landscapes and warm hospitality.
Tour includes: 13 x nights’ Accommodation in 3 * hotels or private villa (including pre-tour hotel night); 10 x Dinners; 13 x Breakfast; 10 x Evening social hours; 1 x Midnight Easter Dinner & 1 x Easter Lunch Feast; light snacks, energy bars and electrolyte drinks for the rides; Vehicle support and luggage transfer; Entrance fee to museums, archaeological sites and tours per itinerary; GCH cycle jersey; TCX or GPX files for each day’s route. Bike boxes will be transported to the Leonidio on day 12 so that you can put your bikes away before being transported to the Athens airport on day 13.
Not included: flights, bike rental, personal travel insurance, tips and gratuities and post tour hotel nights in Athens.
Weather: Riders should plan on cool to cold mornings and evening temperatures turning warm mid-day along with possible days of rain. Average temperature for April is lows of 50F to highs of 70F.
Bicycles: E-bikes and tandems are welcome.
Lodging & Meals : Lodging will be either 3-star hotels or a private villa. 13 nights lodging, 13 breakfasts, 11 Happy Hours and 10 group dinners are included in the cost of the tour. Dinners will include wine, beer and soft drinks. There will be a daily route review at Happy Hour.
Logistics: Please plan to arrive in Athens on April 1, 2026. A hotel near Athens Airport will be reserved for you that evening and the cost is included in in the price of the tour. On April 2, we’ll kick off the adventure with a bus transfer to Loutraki, a picturesque town and the starting point of our journey. Upon arrival, we’ll hold a pre-tour briefing and give you time to set up and check your bike and equipment before dinner. The ride concludes on April 14, 2026. You will be transferred by bus to Athens Airport. Bike boxes will be transported to the Leonidio on April 13 so that you can put your bikes away before being transported to the Athens airport on April 14. If your flight departs the following day, consider booking a hotel in Athens for the night of April 14.
Bike rentals, including e-bikes, are available from the commercial tour operator. Please contact Steven Frost of Greek Cycle Holidays directly at steven@greekcycleholidays.com to reserve a bike. Their current posted price for bike rentals (non e-bike) for the tour is €370 and €580 for ebikes.
COST & ADMINISTRATION: The cost is $4,150. Included in the price are 13 x nights’ accommodation in 3 * hotels or private villa (including pre-tour hotel night); 10 x Dinners; 13 x Breakfast; 10 x Evening social hours; 1 x Midnight Easter Dinner & 1 x Easter Lunch Feast; light snacks, energy bars and electrolyte drinks for the rides; Vehicle support and luggage transfer; Entrance fee to museums, archaeological sites and tours per itinerary; GCH cycle jersey; TCX or GPX files for each day’s route. The estimated cost is based on an exchange rate of 1 Euro = $1.10. The initial deposit of $2,150 does not include the BAC registration fee of $100, and both will be due upon acceptance to the ride. The second payment of $2,000 is due on January 31, 2026. Solo Supplement is $1,250.
Health and Safety: Participants are expected to come to the tour in good health and ready to
ride. Should someone's health become compromised and the group’s health and safety placed
in jeopardy, a plan will be developed by the ride leader(s) and communicated to all individuals.
The expectation is for the group to work together to mitigate any spread of infection or illness as
a means to ensure the tour can continue as planned.
Singles & Solos Policy: It is recommended that singles who want a roommate try to find their own. However, after receipt of the initial deposit, a single rider without a roommate will be placed on the ride and given until October 31 to find a roommate. If they are unable to find a roommate, they will have the option to receive a full refund (minus the BAC Ride Registration Fee and Payment Processing Fee) or pay the $1,250 Solo Supplement and stay on the ride. If a single pays the supplement, they may continue to seek a roommate, but must plan to participate without a roommate if necessary. The Ride Leader will assist by attempting to match singles who apply for the ride.
The solo supplement payment can be paid by Zelle or check. To pay using Zelle:
Cancellation Policy: The BAC ride registration fee and payment processing fee is not refundable unless the entire tour is cancelled due to participation below stated minimum requirements. Refunds of tour payments will depend upon whether a replacement rider signs up, and on costs that can be recouped. The amount refunded will be based on the principle that the tour’s remaining participants will not incur any additional cost as a result of cancellations. If the cancelling participant is replaced, a refund will be made at that time. If the cancelling participant can't be replaced, any refund will be determined after the ride and final expense report are completed. If a single participant cancels and another roommate cannot be found, in addition to other costs that cannot be recouped the cancelling roommate may also be liable for the single supplement fee of the roommate remaining on the tour. BAC encourages members to purchase trip cancellation insurance.
Ride Participant Responsibility: Please remember that BAC Ride Leaders are volunteers, and that successful tours depend on participants providing much of their own support. Participants are expected to come to the ride well trained, in good health and ready to accomplish the required daily riding using well-maintained bicycles. All participants should accept responsibility for a safe and enjoyable tour. We encourage you to read the ride description carefully and respond to requests from Ride Leader. While on the ride, support your Ride Leader with offers to help with various tasks such as happy hour preparation and clean-up. Please do not interfere with the ride by inviting non-participants onto any portion of the ride or tour. Please keep the Ride Leader informed of any special request you may have and respect the Ride Leader’s decisions.
INSURANCE: Before participating in any BAC tour, you should assess whether your medical and travel insurance coverage is sufficient. BAC maintains insurance that covers expenses related to accidents, medical emergencies such as sudden and unexpected sickness, and repatriation. This coverage applies when touring outside the US and your home country, regardless of your nationality. It will cover your door-to-door for a maximum of 90 days but will expire if you make a side trip not related to the BAC tour for more than 7 days before or after. There is limited coverage for a family member to join a covered person in an emergency. The policy covers the cost of treatment for Covid and other unexpected illnesses, but not quarantine. You should ensure that your vaccinations are up to date. (e.g., annual influenza, tetanus, etc.). Coverage is subject to a $1000 deductible. If traveling outside your home country you may wish to consult with a travel physician or nurse to ensure that the appropriate vaccinations are up to date.
Sign Up: To register for this ride, use the sign-up links just above the Ride Description. After preliminary acceptance, you will be moved to the pending list and receive an email requesting you go back to the BAC site to digitally accept the terms of the Release of Liability (ROL) and pay the Tour Deposit and the non-refundable BAC Ride Registration Fee by credit card. There is a $85.00 domestic ride fee and $150.00 international ride fee. As soon as your deposit has been processed, your name(s) will be added to the Participant List. BAC members with questions may contact the Ride Director by "clicking" the name at the top of this Ride Description.
