Ride Leader Seminar 2018 California

BAC has been conducting Ride Leader Seminars for over 10 years.  The latest version was in November 2018 in Temecula California.  Twenty-nine potential ride leaders spent two days learning the nuts and bolts of designing, planning and conducting a BAC tour.

The workshops have evolved over time.  The current version, conducted by the board of directors, started with slide presentations, interspersed with on-line demonstrations, following the ride development process: initial planning, submitting a ride proposal, using the web site as a ride director or coordinator, getting the ride proposal approved, preparing for departure, conducting the tour on the road, and post tour responsibilities. 

Participants also got to practice some of the processes in a workshop.

As you would expect, inquisitive BAC members had a lot of questions and comments.  These lively discussions made the entire workshop interesting.

Following the workshop, a local Temecula couple conducted an optional 5-day fixed based tour in the area where “Where the Sun Shines Through the Mist”.
