Bella Italia! Bella Tuscany!
What a wonderful trip this was. Beautiful scenery! Vineyards, olive groves, Ancient Italian towns, poppy fields and HILLS!!!
I covered 450 miles with approximately 40,000 feet of climbing. But it was worth it!
Bring your cameras and your climbing legs. We had beautiful weather and a very lovely group of seasoned cyclists. I so much enjoyed folks sharing about their accomplishments including RAAM, world mountain biking championships, self-contained cycling, and Orchid expertise.
Sanborn was a fabulous bilingual negotiator and Gail was a great happy hour organizer and route reviewer. Both wonderful people and great leaders. In addition to the cycling I love the walking tours in Siena and Volterra. Loved the food: pasta, pizza, gelato. (How do the Italians stay so thin!) Of course the wine was wonderful and the wine and olive oil tasting was fun. Try very hard to get on this trip because you will love it. I know I did!
